Generative Engine Optimisation

We help companies stay visible where answers are generated today — so AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others can discover, understand, and accurately represent your business.

What is Generative Engine Optimisation?

The goal of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is to shape content, structures, and context so that generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google’s AI-generated answers can correctly understand, interpret, and reuse information.

While SEO (Search Engine Optimization) aims to make content discoverable for search engines, GEO focuses on preparing your content so that generative systems can clearly understand it and recognize your company as a trusted and therefore citeable source. The two disciplines complement each other, strong SEO is the foundation for effective GEO.

Why GEO matters now

Digital search is changing rapidly. Generative AI is increasingly becoming the primary interface for information, advice, and decision-making. Instead of searching for the right sources, users now expect a direct answer to their question.

Generative AI, however, does not produce answers by retrieving individual documents. Instead, it generates responses by interpreting, weighting, and combining information from multiple sources. AI systems also cite only what they can find, understand, and evaluate as the most reliable source. If content is misinterpreted, this can lead to inaccurate or misleading statements.

Loss of visibility in AI answer systems

Tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others increasingly deliver direct answers, often without users ever visiting your website. As a result, many companies are losing reach and visibility without even noticing.

Lack of control over brand messaging

AI models pull information from many different sources. If content is outdated, unclear, or fragmented, it can create an incomplete or distorted picture of your brand.

Missing or unclear representation in AI responses

Due to unstructured content, missing contextual signals, or poor data quality, many organizations are not mentioned at all in AI-generated answers.

Outdated content and SEO strategies

Content that performs well in classic Google search is often not correctly interpreted, contextualized, or prioritized by LLMs.

Declining website traffic with unclear causes

When users receive answers directly within AI interfaces and no longer click through to websites, traffic starts to drop while tools don’t reveal clear reasons.

Incorrect or incomplete information

AI systems fill informational gaps autonomously, sometimes correctly, sometimes not. This can lead to lack of transparency, misunderstandings, or even reputational risks.

Our GEO Dimensions & Approach

We optimize your digital presence across key dimensions, structured, methodical, and tested for AI environments. This allows us to gradually increase your brand’s visibility in generative AI systems.

LLM Visibility Check

We analyze whether and how your brand currently appears in AI-generated answers:
For which topics and questions are you mentioned? Which information is missing, outdated, or incorrect? How are you positioned? And how does your brand voice come across in AI responses?

Structure & Content Audit

We assess to what extent AI systems are able to understand your content.
Is your content clear, consistent, and unambiguous? Does your information provide the right context? Is it structured in a way that makes it accessible and interpretable for machines?

Technical & Semantic On-Page Optimization

We optimize the signals AI systems rely on to correctly interpret and contextualize your content. This includes improvements to information architecture, internal linking, semantic structures, and content formatting.

Brand & Entity Optimization

We identify the characteristics that truly differentiate your brand and strengthen these signals so that AI systems can recognize and represent your brand more clearly.

Optimized Content

Together with you, we develop content and structures designed to be read, understood, and cited by generative systems.

Our Approach

From initial assessment to in-depth analysis and a clear roadmap for your next steps.

Discovery & Visibility Analysis

We analyse how your brand currently appears in generative engines, or whether it appears at all, and why. The result is an understanding of why AI systems may not yet represent your brand correctly and what your leverage points are.

Your GEO Roadmap

Based on the analysis, we develop clear and prioritized actions, strategically grounded and operationally actionable. The roadmap shows what needs to be done, why it matters, and how it should be implemented.

Implementation Support

We want recommendations to create real impact in live environments. Therefore, we support your team during implementation, either in an advisory role or with hands-on operational support.
